Visiting the Kyrgyz Republic

Although most countries at the World Expo have their own pavilions, some of the smaller countries share a building. Both Africa and South & Central America occupy Joint-Pavilions where their presentation areas are smaller and more open. The small Asian countries also share a building but they are still split into separate rooms, so rather than walking through the open-market atmosphere of Africa or the massive organized structure of USA, visitors stroll through one small room to glimpse the Asian country’s culture.

In the Kyrgyz Republic, a small tent stood by the entrance and an interesting runic script covered the ceiling. A cabinet on the side wall held dolls wearing the different Kyrgyz fashions and a sign translated the country’s name into 10 different languages.
